Once you’ve signed up and logged in, you’ll land on your Systeme.io Dashboard.

This is where everything happens! From here, you can access the Email Marketing tab, which is where we’ll be working to create your newsletters.

But.. Before you start sending newsletters, it’s important to organize your subscribers, especially if you already have an email list. In Systeme.io, you can quickly manage your contacts in a few easy ways:
- Add them manually
- Upload a CSV file
- Integrate with other tools
Once your list is added to Systeme.io you go to ‘tags’ and segment it into categories like leads, customers, or newsletter subscribers. Step 1: Create a New Newsletter
First things first, click here to open your newsletter template (I’ve created this one for you, so you don’t have to start from scratch!).
Next, go to the Email Marketing section in your dashboard. From there, simply click on your template to open it and then we’ll move on to step 2.
Step 2: Write Your Subject & Preview Line
The first thing your subscribers will see is the subject line, so make sure it’s good! Keep it clear, intriguing, and to the point—something that makes them want to open the email and learn more.
The preview text is the sentence that appears under the subject line in the inbox, and it’s your second chance to grab their attention. Use this space to provide a little extra hook or value to encourage them to click and read more. Here are some suggestions!

Step 3: Design Your Newsletter
Use Systeme.io’s drag-and-drop editor to easily design your email. You can create your own header easily with Canva (600px x 200px size) add your text, other images, buttons, to create a newsletter that’s both visually appealing and easy to read (in this video I show you exactly how you do this).
Keep in mind that your newsletter should be mobile-friendly—most people check their emails on their phones, so a clean, simple design works best (I’ll come back to this in step 5!).

Okay, now here’s where many people get stuck – what do I write about?
Start by putting yourself in your reader’s shoes. What would they find helpful? If you’re sharing tips, make them actionable—things they can actually use. If you’re promoting something, explain why it benefits them. And if you’re telling a story, make it relatable, something they can see themselves in.
Keep it simple and direct. Don’t try to say too much in one email. Focus on one key message, one action you want them to take. This will keep your email clear and easy to follow.
I’ll be honest, I don’t always stick to this myself, but the sweet spot is usually around 200 words (for reference, that’s a little under what I’ve written in this step!). That’s the ideal length to get your point across without overwhelming your readers. So aim for quality, not quantity.
And then there’s your Call to Action (CTA). It’s not enough to just say “click here.” Be specific: “Grab your discount now,” or “Get your free guide here.” Make it clear what they should do and why they should do it. Remember, your goal is to help them feel confident about taking action—whether that’s clicking a link, making a purchase, or replying to your message.

Before you hit send, head over to the contact settings on the right panel and add the relevant tags for the recipients you want to target. Once that’s done, do a quick test.
